I'm Heather, the voice behind Expat Travel Mom, a family that's been living and traveling abroad since 2010, currently based in Valencia, Spain.

Over 15+ years of travel across 30+ countries, I've built a genuine, detail-oriented approach to sharing family travel: real stays, real meals, real logistics, not staged content. I'm currently bringing this site back to life with the full archive of past trips, a country-by-country guide series for traveling families, and ongoing coverage of new destinations.

Being hosted never changes how I write about a place. I'm not interested in writing polished, stuffy reviews that pretend our life is some kind of luxury default, it isn't. What I share here is our real experience, kids, chaos, and all, whether we paid for it ourselves or someone else picked up the tab. If something didn't work for our family, I say so.
