About

Hi, I'm Heather. In 2010, my family packed 11 bags (one overweight), said goodbye to everyone we knew, and moved halfway around the world to the UAE. That was supposed to be an adventure. It turned into a life.

Four years in Al Ain and Umm Al Quwain. Eight years in Singapore. And since 2022, home base has been Valencia, Spain, sunshine, jamón, and a much shorter commute to the rest of Europe.

Along the way, my husband and I have raised three kids across three continents, chased far too many Christmas markets, and somehow ended up with a genuine soft spot for airport lounges. This blog is where I'm getting all of it down, the early chaotic years and the trips still to come, told the way I actually talk about them.

These days, the trips look a little different than they used to. Our kids are growing up and heading off on their own, and my husband and I are rediscovering what it means to travel as just the two of us again, a completely different rhythm, and honestly, a completely different kind of fun. You'll find both kinds of stories here, the full-family chaos and the just-us getaways, since they're really two chapters of the same ongoing story.

Thanks for being here. Grab a coffee, there's a lot of ground to cover.
